The Volksgarden hydroponics kit system is a rotary wheel that is able to grow a lot of small plants in a small amount of space.

One of the significant advantages of this system is that it exposes all plants to a central light source.

In this video, the 540 Watt vertical light from HydroGrow is being installed into the Volksgarden.

The install is made by using two metal rods that are bolted to the middle of the hydroponic system. The grow light is then secured to these rods using metal strips and fastened with bolts, washers, and nuts.

This particular grow light produces a huge amount of light, as can be seen in the video. It is essentially impossible to look at this light directly because it is so bright.

The colour of the light is a light red / pink colour. This is because it is made up mostly of the red and blue light spectrum. As reviewed on our grow light page, red light is important for the vegetative growth of plants, while blue light is important for flowering and fruiting.

The hydroponics plants that are to be grown in this system initially will be lettuce and then hopefully strawberries. We very much look forward to seeing how this system runs, and are excited about the coming updates.
